On 14 October JustForYou, the online advantage program of Belgacom Skynet, celebrated its 10th anniversary with its B2B customers in the SURF House. The Young Potentials too were invited to discover a different side of Belgacom, the wonderful world of media! Together with the Events team, we gave all our guests an evening to remember!


EA-0140.jpgA personalised picture of each attendee was taken by a professional photographer and projected on a big screen in the SURF House to announce their arrival.

In the party hall, Grand Marnier welcomed everyone with delicious cocktails and JustForYou presented an elaborated walking dinner. Although it was the anniversary of JustForYou, the presents were for the guests ! Besides the food & drinks, one lucky guest also received 2 flight tickets to a destination of choice in Europe.

 

After this ceremony presented by director Guy Huyberechts and Belgacom TV presenter Sophie Nollevaux, DJ Buscemi amused everyone with catchy dance music and the party really took off. All the guests danced the night away.

At the end of the soirée, JustForYou presented everyone with a well filled goodie bag and personalised pictures, as a souvenir of this wonderful evening.

As a Young Potential, I already had the opportunity to work on all sorts of great initiatives but organising the JustForyou party was truly a unique experience.

Usain Bolt dans les tours Belgacom…. Info ou Intox ?

Usain_collage.jpgActuellement, dans le cadre de ma seconde mission, je suis Sponsoring & PR Junior Manager.

Mes missions consistent notamment à activer les partenariats conclus avec diverses associations ou organisations (Francofolies de Spa, Belgacom Liège Basket, Diables Rouges, Belgacom Beach Soccer, etc.) Le sponsoring consiste « à payer » un droit d’accès pour exploiter le potentiel marketing d’une organisation. Mon rôle se situe au niveau de « l’activation » : actions marketing menées pour promouvoir et optimaliser son partenariat.

 

Ainsi, Belgacom est sponsor de nombreux associations, organisations, évènements ou autres clubs tant au niveau culturel que sportif. Ainsi, depuis 2008, nous sommes TITLE sponsor du Belgacom Mémorial Van Damme.

 

C’est dans ce contexte que l’homme le plus rapide de la planète, U. BOLT est venu rendre visite au personnel de Belgacom en permettant aux plus « rapides » d’entre eux la possibilité de poser en photo à ses côtés.

 

Le mot rapide à son importance car U. BOLT est resté pas moins de 30 minutes pour le plus grand bonheur de notre personnel.   

 

En effet, l’après-midi, U. BOLT prenait la direction du Stade Roi Baudouin où Belgacom dans le cadre de son partenariat avec le Mémorial Van Damme permet à  nos meilleurs athlètes issus des clubs de notre royaume de suivre un entraînement donné par l’homme le plus rapide de tous les temps sur 100 et 200m.

 

Ainsi, des centaines de jeunes ont pu bénéficier des conseils du champion jamaïcain. Cet entraînement hors du commun s’est déroulé de 14h à 15h30 et était ouvert gratuitement au public.

 

Cette expérience restera longtemps gravée dans ma mémoire. U. BOLT dans les tours BELGACOM …. INFO ou INTOX ?

Belgacom Group is approaching the final phase of the integration of Proximus and Telindus, integration that significantly extends the portfolio of profiles and competences internally.

This is the reason why our recruitment needs will be filled in by internal mobility in priority.

 

The Young Potential Program will adapt its timeline to this new internal context, and, as consequence, the current recruitment phase will  be postponed, with no new contract offered for the moment.

This means that your CV will not be read immediately, nor will we offer any new contracts in the near future.

The Pulse

Sat Nam... vivre le flux de la vie en harmonie avec notre vraie identité. ... C’est comme cela que le cours de Kundalini Yoga commence.

Tous les lundis, après les heures de boulots, une collègue dispense des cours de Yoga qui font partie du programme Pulse. « Pulse » a pour but d’offrir aux employés Belgacom des activités culturelles, sportives, créatives gratuites lors du temps de midi ou après les heures de boulot. La chose commune entre ces différentes activités, yoga, peinture, théatre, music, zumba, est que ces cours sont dispensés par des collègues. Ainsi en tant qu’employé Belgacom, j’ai le choix de participer à ces différentes activités relaxantes et y rencontrer par la même occasion des nouveaux collègues, et j’ai également la possibilité, si je suis un rien doué dans une discipline, de donner des cours...En ce qui me concerne, je ne fais que participer...Et vous ? Vous donneriez ou participeriez à quel cours ?

Make my day

Excellence In Service
is an initiative by and for COP EIS employees. Its aim is to give more concrete shape to the values of Respect, Can Do and Passion in order to bring the teams and management closer together and offer a better service to the customer.


With the Excellence In Service project, employees of the COP EIS department (Ambassadors) have been given the opportunity to launch a number of initiatives for their department, allowing each employee to experience the Belgacom values, i.e. Respect, Can Do and Passion, in a more concrete way.

To this end, the MAKE MY DAY event was held on Friday 4 September. Each manager spent a day with one or more employees to gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by employees who are in direct contact with customers, with a view to improving mutual respect, dialog and listening skills.

This gave the employees a chance to share their experiences, ideas for excellent service and passion for customers in a constructive way, and thus work toward a common vision.

Ariane Berckmoes: "It's funny how little you know about the daily activities of a team that is literally in the next room and in the same department as you. You'll be surprised how similar the work is, and impressed by the drive to help internal or external customers, and the will to do things better every time."

"When we started out, after a short introduction, it immediately became clear that Ariane Berckmoes was not just here by coincidence: she was genuinely interested in our job.”

Johan Sermon: "Although Geert Boucquez is manager of a helpdesk that provides a totally different kind of support than here at Proximus, we thought it might be interesting for him to have a look at our tools and methods. It was a pleasant experience for me, and I was happy to show him the ins and outs of our helpdesk.”

Geert Boucquez:
“I learnt a lot that day. Everyone does a good job, whether they are working for a Telindus, Belgacom or Proximus team, where they use other tools and methods.”

Michael Van Landeghem: “It was a good experience, perhaps it would also be nice to see the kind of problems senior management is faced with."

Philippe Lesoinne
: "An enriching experience. I was pleased to see a lot of respect and care towards the customer.”
